Lhasa Apso has it origin in Tibet. It was originally used for Companionship and as a watch dog. While it is average in terms of Energy and friendliness towards strangers, it is an extremely good watch dog. It easily adjusts to Cold environment but when it comes to heat, the adaptability of a Lhasa is moderate. It calls for a good amount of time & effort to train a Lhasa but they can definetly be trained.
